Bulldogs suffer narrow JV football loss to Napa

Vacaville's junior varsity football team suffered its first MEL loss of the season, 21-14 to visiting Napa at Tom Zunino Stadium. The Bulldogs were driving for a potential tying touchdown before Napa intercepted a Vacaville pass at the goal-line with 40 seconds left.

Vacaville fell to 3-1 in MEL games, 5-4 overall.

The Bulldogs scored on a 30-yard run by Terrance Trueblood and a 1-yard run by Coleman Christensen. Jesse Kassis added two extra-point kicks.

Nick Berumen led the Bulldog defense, according to head coach Scott Lopez. Jarrelle Walker added an interception. Vacaville ends the season against Will C. Wood next week.
